Horn Mews Dental Practice in Braintree provides dental care for all the family in a friendly environment. The practice offers a full range of general dentistry, including examinations, dental hygiene, tooth-coloured fillings, tooth whitening, aesthetic crowns, porcelain veneers, bridges, dentures and tooth extraction, with root canal treatment also available. For implant and orthodontic needs, the team refers locally. Patients can choose between private fees, Denplan Care Plan and NHS treatment. Denplan includes routine treatment at the practice (with the exception of any laboratory fees), based on an assessment that determines a band and monthly payment. NHS care follows banded charges from 1st April 2026, with Band 1 covering examination, x-rays and a scale and polish if needed, and Band 3 including crowns, dentures and bridges. For emergencies, registered patients during the week are allocated one of the practice’s emergency slots at the end of the morning if they are in pain or have broken a tooth or filling. Weekend and Bank Holiday emergencies are directed to NHS 111 for triage to the local out-of-hours dental service, and this is provided under an NHS contract.
